Juho took his career across borders - from Finland to Denmark
My name is Juho Jääskeläinen, and I recently embarked on a work exchange from Fellowminds Finnish office in Helsinki to our Danish office in Copenhagen.
This journey began when I reached a turning point in my life and realized I wanted to try and live abroad. After discussing this with my managers, we decided that Denmark would be the ideal destination for me, due to the great Danish Data and AI team and the wealth of knowledge I could gain here.
I arrived in Copenhagen in October and quickly settled into my new environment, and I even got myself a bike, which is essential for living in Copenhagen.

New country, new team, same passion
In Denmark, I work on projects like those I handled in Finland, but with the added benefit of learning from the senior expertise within the Danish Data and AI team. Of course, some of the work has been a bit challenging due to the language barrier, but my colleagues have been incredibly supportive, communicating with me in English.
The experience here has been fantastic, with friendly colleagues and numerous learning opportunities. I've participated in social activities like the Christmas party and Friday bars, which have helped me integrate into the team. Living in Copenhagen has been quite similar to Helsinki, with a few differences such as the lack of snow.
Paving the way for future Fellows
I hope that my job exchange will pave the way for more such opportunities in the future, potentially with larger groups to enhance the social aspect. Increased collaboration between the Finnish and Danish teams is something I see as highly valuable, and I look forward to continuing this collaboration even after I return to Finland.
As my time in Denmark comes to an end at the end of January, I feel a mix of homesickness and sadness. I'm looking forward to returning to Finland, but I will miss the experience and the connections I've made here. I hope that my experience will inspire others and foster greater cooperation between our teams and locations in Fellowmind
